Microneedling (IvanMed)

Achieve smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin with Microneedling (IvanMed), a powerful skin rejuvenation treatment designed to boost collagen production and improve skin texture. Using ultra-fine needles, this minimally invasive procedure creates micro-injuries in the skin, triggering a natural healing response that stimulates collagen and elastin production. This process effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines, scars, and enlarged pores, revealing a healthier and more youthful complexion.

How does microneedling work?

During the treatment, a specialised microneedling device gently punctures the skin, creating tiny channels that enhance the absorption of active ingredients. This increases skin hydration and accelerates the renewal process. Unlike more aggressive treatments, microneedling is safe for all skin types, making it an excellent choice for those looking to improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity with minimal downtime.

What are the benefits of microneedling?

Over time, microneedling helps to smooth out imperfections, refine pores, and enhance overall skin vitality. Whether you want to target signs of ageing, acne scars, or pigmentation issues, Microneedling (IvanMed) offers a safe and effective solution for long-lasting, natural results.

Pre-treatment instructions

  1. Avoid sun exposure – refrain from direct sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanning products at least 3 days before treatment. Sunburned skin increases the risk of complications, and treatment will be cancelled if your skin is sunburnt.
  2. Discontinue active skincare products – stop using retinol (Vitamin A), AHAs, and BHAs at least 3 days before the procedure.
  3. Hydrate – drink plenty of water before your treatment. Well-hydrated skin responds better to RF Microneedling.
  4. Acne – if you have active acne in the treatment area, reschedule your appointment to prevent bacterial spread.
  5. Prescription retinoids – if using isotretinoin (Roaccutane), wait at least 6 months after stopping before undergoing treatment.
  6. Cold sores – if you have a history of cold sores, apply an anti-viral cream as prescribed by your doctor 2-3 days before treatment.
  7. Excessive hair in the treatment area – shave the area 24 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, pluck, or use hair removal creams.
  8. Plan for post-treatment care – avoid intense exercise, saunas, or hot baths for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
